Abstracts

The submission for abstracts opens on February 19th and closes on May 12th, 2025.

We are eager to learn about the latest research and developments in infectious diseases and clinical microbiology across the Nordic countries! An essential part of the NSCMID 2025 conference is fostering networking, exchanging Nordic experiences, and sharing scientific research data. We, therefore, welcome abstracts covering all aspects of microbiology and infectious diseases, including research projects, development initiatives, and quality improvement efforts.

Abstract Evaluation and Presentation

Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the NSCMID 2025 Organising Committee during May 2025. The organising committee will determine the format of the presentation: oral or poster presentation.

A special session, titled  Early career scientists (e.g. medical students, resident doctors, PhD researchers, Postdoctoral researcher), will feature five selected authors out of submitted abstracts, one from each Nordic country, who will be invited to present their work orally on Saturday, August 30th. If you are not eligible for this session, please indicate it when submitting your abstract.

Posters will be displayed at the Alandica Conference Center throughout the conference. A poster session, providing authors with the opportunity to present and discuss their work, will also be organised.

Notifications of acceptance of the abstracts will be sent to the presenting author of the abstract by May 26th 2025.
